Executive Functioning Coaching

A New Service for Children, Adolescents, and Young Adults

What Is Executive Functioning Coaching?

Executive Functioning (EF) coaching helps students build the real-life skills they need to succeed—at school, at home, and in everyday routines. These one-on-one sessions are designed to support students who need help staying on track, getting organized, and managing their responsibilities.

Coaching Focus Areas:

✅ Managing homework and meeting deadlines
✅ Building effective study habits and routines
✅ Using time wisely and planning ahead
✅ Engaging with AI tools responsibly
✅ Understanding ADHD and neurodiversity through psychoeducation to foster self-awareness and confidence
✅ Parenting sessions are included to help families reinforce skills at home and support lasting change

Psychological Services, including EF Coaching, are covered by most extended healthcare benefits, check with your insurer to confirm.

Who can benefit?

EF coaching is ideal for:

  • Students who struggle with executive functioning challenges like procrastination, disorganization, or time blindness
  • Kids and teens with ADHD or other neurodiverse profiles
  • Families looking for practical, short-term support—with or without an ongoing therapeutic relationship
  • New clients looking for skill-building support
  • Current clients of Step Stone who could benefit from a focused coaching supplement

If your child or youth is already working with one of our clinicians and could benefit from targeted EF support, reach out to learn more.

Summer 2025: Small Group EF Coaching

We're also launching group coaching programs in Summer 2025! These engaging small-group sessions will offer coaching and peer connections while children and youth learn essential executive functioning skills in a collaborative, encouraging setting. With a summer start, your child/youth with gear up for September with start-up skills and continue through the rest of the 16 week program building ongoing skills each week towards greater self-management. In the latter weeks, students work with less direct support and demonstrate confidence in their newly built toolkit of skills towards flying solo thereafter.

Help your Child or Youth prepare for a great start in September and a great year!
